Classical Players Theatre Co. to perform at Sakonnet Vineyards in June, July
The Classical Players, a traveling group of Shakespearean actors, will be presenting two plays here at the vineyards this summer. THE COMPLETE WORKS OF SHAKESPEARE (ABRIDGED) is a hilarious comedy in which a few actors of dubious Shakespeare knowledge attempt to present ALL of Shakespeare’s plays in ninety minutes! This play was a hit in New York and London, so don’t miss it here at our lovely vineyard! Performances will take place on June 13th and 14th at 7pm, and 15th at 2pm.
In July, they will be back, performing one of The Bard’s funniest works, TWELFTH NIGHT. It’s a play about women pretending to be men, men pretending to be women, mistaken identity, practical jokes, music and revelry, and love triumphant! This is a great play for the entire family, and will be presented over two weekends: July 11, 12, 18, and 19 at 7pm, and July 13th and 20th at 2pm.
Tickets for both these shows are only $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors, with children six and under admitted for free! Check with us regarding food and drink policies, as well as advance tickets. Call Dr. Joe Wallace at 508-287-6306 for more information on the plays.
Classical Players present an art & crafts show at Sakonnet Vineyards June 14th
The Classical Players Theatre Company is sponsoring an arts & crafts fair here at the vineyard on June 14th, weather permitting, from 12-5pm. Come visit the vineyard, enjoy a tasting and a tour, and check out all the wonderful arts & crafts that local artists have to offer! In addition, the classical Players may offer some surprise performances! Admission to the fair is free!
